Roll It! Inflectional Endings Dice

Students put the -ing in gaming with these inflectional endings dice! Students will cut out the two templates and glue them together to create dice with a different word on each side. Students will roll the dice and write the word they get in the chart on the third page. Then, they'll add the inflectional endings -ed and -ing to each base word to create new words. 

This activity was designed for first and second graders learning about spelling rules and inflectional endings. The ability to add -ed and -ing endings to words can allow students to write in different tenses and boost their vocabulary.
