Integer Addition: Would You Rather?

Choose your own math practice in this worksheet on integer addition! In each of eight problems, students will be asked to choose which of the two integer addition equations they would like to evaluate. The problems increase in difficulty and include positive and negative addends within 1,000. 

This worksheet was designed for seventh graders learning to perform integer operations. Learners can develop familiarity with the patterns of integer addition, particularly the way that the addends’ signs affect the sum. A strong grasp on integer addition will allow students to move on to other skills, such as integer multiplication and division.
