Integer Subtraction: Would You Rather?

Which direction will you choose? In this integer subtraction worksheet, your practice is up to you! Students will be asked to choose the equations they want to solve from eight pairs of integer subtraction problems. These problems increase in difficulty and are all within 1,000. 

Designed for seventh graders, this worksheet can help students develop familiarity and confidence with integer division. As students learn to recognize the patterns in integer subtraction—especially in how the signs of the subtrahend and minuend affect the difference—they will improve their accuracy and prepare to learn trickier skills, such as integer division.
