Opinion Writing: Let's Play!

How do you like to play? Choose and defend your favorite fun activity in this worksheet! Students will decide which of three activities they would choose to do. Then, they will write three reasons to show why they think their activity is the best. At the end, they can use the checklist to help them check their work for completion and correctness.

This worksheet is designed to engage second and third graders in opinion-writing practice by having them think and write about a subject they may already have opinions on. Students will practice defending an opinion with valid, relevant reasons. They can also work on their grammar and punctuation.
