Reader's Theater Fluency Practice: Red Riding Hood Rap

Put a playful spin on a classic fairy tale with this three-page third and fourth grade reader’s theater worksheet! Students will take turns reading the parts of four readers as they perform a rhyming retelling of “Little Red Riding Hood.” The script follows Little Red as she visits her grandmother, encounters the wolf, and gets help from a passing woodsman.

This reader’s theater fluency worksheet gives students an engaging way to practice reading with accuracy, appropriate pacing, and expression. As learners perform the rhyming script, they build reading fluency while strengthening confidence with oral reading. The four-reader format also makes this drama activity easy to use for small-group or partner practice.
