Worksheet
Roll a Story
Randomize your writing in this creative activity! Students will toll a six-sided die to choose the setting, main character, and problem of their story. They will use the provided graphic organizer to plan the beginning, middle, and end of the story. The graphic organizer includes helpful hints that tell students what they should write in each section of the story. Then, students can use their graphic organizer to help them write their story on a separate sheet of paper.
This worksheet for fourth and fifth graders is a great choice for getting students invested in creative writing practice. The dice-rolling element provides a few foundational elements of the story that students can build on to create their own structured, unique story.
