RI.5.10 Worksheets, Workbooks, Lesson Plans, and Games

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.5.10

:
"By the end of the year, read and comprehend informational texts, including history/social studies, science, and technical texts, at the high end of the grades 4–5 text complexity band independently and proficiently."

Our Take: This Common Core node simply states that students in fifth grade should be progressing as independent readers. Introduce your students to more advanced reading material in multiple forms (fiction, poetry, etc.) and multiple genres (drama, mystery, etc.). Reading for other school subjects like science and social studies also helps expose kids to a range of reading material.

These worksheets, workbooks, and lesson plans can help students practice this Common Core State Standards skill.
