Thank you for your input.
What You Need:
- 2 wrapped, cone-shaped chocolate candies (Hershey's Kisses work well)
- Pink felt
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Pink pipe cleaner
- Thin ribbon
- 2 googly eyes
- Hot glue gun
What You Do:
- Have your child fold a piece of pink felt in half.
- Help her use a marker to draw a tiny mouse ear on the felt.
- Let her use scissors to cut the ear out. Make sure the felt remains folded as she cuts. When she's done, she should have two, identically sized felt ears.
- Help your child glue the ears to the bottom of one of the chocolates.
- Show her how to make a small loop with the thin ribbon or string.
- Have her glue the looped ribbon on the same chocolate with the mouse ears.
- Let her glue the second piece of chocolate on top of the first piece of chocolate.
- Where does your child want the mouse's eyes to go? Help her use glue to attach the googly eyes.
- The only thing left to add is the tail. Let your child glue a short length of pink pipe cleaner to the back of the chocolate. Her mouse is ready to play—or be eaten!
