In this lesson, students will practice mindfulness and learn how our minds can be like a puppy. They will learn that we can use mindfulness to train our wandering minds by bringing our thoughts back to our bodies, breathing, or sounds.

To help develop independent readers, we need to make sure our students are able to identify books they can read independently. Teaching students to pick "just right" books helps them develop reading fluency by reading books at their level.

In this fun literacy lesson, your ELs will get to review or learn all about the parts of a book! This can be a stand alone or support lesson for the lesson What We Like About Stories.
