Dive deep into using base-ten blocks to solve two-digit subtraction problems with regrouping. This lesson can be used independently or in conjuction with the lesson Double Trouble: Subtraction Practice.

Students will learn how to find the actual value of three-digit numbers with this activity that has them use manipulatives to create the expanded form of a number.

This lesson helps students develop an ability to compare and contrast as they explore two strategies to solve three-digit addition problems. This EL Math lesson can be used alone or alongside Three-Digit Addition Strategies Review.
