After-School Activities: Cause and Effect

Analyze after-school activities in this cause-and-effect worksheet for second and third graders! In the first half of the activity, students will read each sentence and decide whether the underlined part is the cause or the effect. Then, learners are asked to write two sentences that show cause and effect, connecting their ideas using the words so and because. 

This worksheet helps students understand how decision-making in their daily lives leads to certain outcomes. As learners begin to study historical events, they can apply their knowledge of cause-and-effect relationships to see how actions and choices led to certain outcomes.
