Book Detective Bingo

Search through the shelves of the library with this book-themed bingo board! Learners will find books that match a variety of prompts, such as “has a title with only one word,” “was published in the last 3 years,” and “is based on a true story.” Students are challenged to cross off five in a row to get bingo!

Created for third, fourth, and fifth graders, this activity prompts students to take notice of genres, subjects, settings, cover elements, and different features of books in their library. By using their observation skills, learners can discover new books, foster their curiosity, and get to know the library’s collection!
