Make Your Own Paint
This recipe works well with the above activity because it is somewhat runny and completely edible, in case of accidental ingestion. (Not that we recommend tasting it!) The best part is that it’s easily made from things you’ve likely got in your cupboard.

The nontoxic paint was awesome. It dueled as a great science lesson. I wanted to try to make it thicker, so I stuck it in the microwave for about 30 seconds. It thickened alright into a thick rubbery blob. It was great.
