Your students will enjoy this hands on lesson where they make simple solutions and mixtures. They will have an opportunity to predict and observe solids that dissolve in water.

The science of matter becomes as fun as it is educational when George gets in the mix! After watching Curious George work with his 'floppafication' pot, students will learn about matter and force.

Use this lesson to show your students the different types of solids, liquids, and gases. Show them how a solid turns into a liquid and how a liquid turns into a gas by using real life examples.

Help your class gain a foundational understanding of matter by learning how to conduct inquiry and gain an understanding about the characteristics of gases. This lab will have your students amazed at what is really in the air.

What do a bicycle and a car have in common? They both move using the simple machine wheel and axle. In this lesson, students learn about how this simple machine works, and will identify objects that use a wheel and axle.

Walk, sleep, run, eat! We're constantly using energy, whether we're moving or not. In this lesson, students learn how their bodies are constantly converting potential energy into kinetic energy and kinetic energy back to potential energy.

Show your class how combining two objects can create a new object in this hands-on science lesson. Students will learn why breaking apart an object doesn't change its mass.

Introduce your students to the scientific concept of sink or float. This hands-on experiment allows them to see which objects sink and which float. The concepts taught will be solidified with the completion of worksheets.

In this lesson, your students will explore the properties of solids and learn to describe them in various ways.

Mad scientists! In this lesson, your students will explore electrical circuits and engage in a hands-on activity to create them. They will identify the differences between parallel and series circuits.

This hands-on lesson will get your students to investigate some mystery liquids, and they will have to use their observational skills to figure out what they are.

In this teacher-approved lesson, students will make and play with oobleck (corn starch and water), then write about their experiments. Young scientists will have a blast seeing their oobleck mixtures seemingly come to life.

This fun and interactive lesson will teach your students the scientific method to find out if something sinks or floats with a little help from Cookie Monster.

Help your students' reasoning skills grow with this activity that has them make educated guesses on whether or not an item will be attracted to a magnet.

Science can be sticky! This interactive lesson with an ooey-gooey ending will solidify your students' understanding of the states of matter!
