Nothing says Halloween like candlelight! For a ghostly arts and crafts activity that will give your child an introduction to the art of stained glass, give these candleholders a try. Your house will end up looking ripe for Halloween, and your driveway will never glow quite as eerily as it will on that night of nights.

What You Need:

  • paper streamers in spooky colors like orange and black
  • scissors
  • liquid starch
  • small galss jar
  • paintbrushes
  • aluminum foil

What You Do:

  1. Tear the streamers into tiny pieces.
  2. Paint the liquid starch onto the jar, arrange the pieces of streamer so they completely cover the jar and then add another coat of liquid starch on top.
  3. Place the jar on aluminum foil to dry.
  4. Drop in a votive candle and let the mood-lighting begin!
