Is your child begging to make a genuine witch's brew this Halloween? Here's a spicy hot cider recipe that should do just the trick.
Makes 16 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 hours
Ideal slow cooker size: 5-qt.
What You Need:
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 Tbsp. ground allspice
- 1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar
What You Do:
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Begin with 1/4 cup brown sugar. Stir to dissolve. If you'd like the cider to be sweeter, add more, up to 1/2 cup total.
- Cover and cook on Low 3 hours.
- Serve warm from the cooker.
