Mitten Wreath Craft

What You Do:

1. Have your child lay out a sheet of wrapping paper.
2. Help her use a pencil to draw several mittens on the paper. Make sure all the mittens have the thumbs facing the same way.
3. Let her use scissors to carefully cut out the mitten shapes.
4. Have her repeat steps 1 - 3 for each different style of wrapping paper. By the end, she should have at least 20 paper mittens.
5. Next, let your child draw a large circle on a piece of cardboard. The circle should be roughly as wide as four of her mittens.
6. Have him draw a smaller circle inside the large circle.
7. This step is all you! Carefully use a box cutter to cut out the center circle.
8. Have your child glue all the mittens onto the cardboard wreath shape. Each mitten should slightly overlap the other so that none of the cardboard is visible between the wrapping paper.
9. Help her tie a piece of ribbon into a large loop.
10. Have her glue the ribbon onto the back of the wreath.
11. Let your child proudly hang up and display her mitten wreath craft.
