Negative and positive numbers can be confusing, but don't worry! This activity will help! By using the colors in a deck of playing cards to distinguish between positive and negative numbers, the concept is made clear. You can work together or competitively to place numbers in order from least to greatest. Your child will gain confidence with practice. Once he is comfortable with the activity, try getting out a timer and racing for the fastest score!
Terms to Know:
integer: a whole number (not a fraction) that can be positive or negative, or zero
