In celebration of Earth Day, help your fifth grader write a poem from the Earth to its inhabitants.

Prove that the Earth is not flat. The objective of this science fair project is to measure the angle of the sun and calculate the circumference of the Earth.

The Earth is always providing in so many ways! In this activity, children reflect on how the Earth gives and on their love for the Earth through discussion and letter writing.

Children will reflect on the importance of performing acts of kindness for the Earth, hear a story about easy ways they can care for the Earth, and set goals to conserve more in their everyday lives.

Science fair project which measures the shadow cast by a meter stick at various times in order to predict the circumference of the earth.

In this inspiring activity, children create and perform their very own Reader’s Theater about helping the planet!

What better way to care for the earth than to create a Call to Action plan for the entire family?

Grow borax crystals and get your child excited about Earth science with this crafty science experiment.

This activity is a great way to engage learners in Earth Day celebrations while cultivating skills around nonfiction comprehension and research writing.

This science fair project idea examines the distance a person travels on an average day and to relate that to an understanding of the size of the Earth.

Get your fifth grader involved in some earth science by helping her plan and create her very own rock collection.

Science fair project which determines whether it is numerically possible to be connected to every person on the earth within six degrees of separation.

Children reflect on ways they have cared for themselves, others, and the Earth before building a garden to share beauty with others in their community.

What cause the phases of the moon? Make a model to see how the positions of the Sun, Moon, and Earth cause the crescent, gibbous, quarter, full, and new moon.

What is the hydrologic cycle and how does it work? Check out this fun and easy science project where you will model and learn about Earth's water cycle!

This project uses science and art to help students learn and teach others about Earth's endangered and extinct species.

How do the phases of the Moon and gravity cause spring tides and neap tides? Does the Sun play a role in the tides? Figure it out in this fun science project!

This simple experiment serves as an introduction to the greenhouse effect.

This science fair project idea investigates how magnetism can defy the force of gravity.

This science fair project idea researches the different layers of the atmosphere and creates a visual representation of the atmospheric layers.

This science fair project idea recreates the movement of planetary bodies in order to learn why they sometimes appear to move backwards.

How do organic materials become soil? This science experiment measures what materials biodegrade.

Science fair project which compares the rate of temperature change and the maximum temperature as a result of the angle of light radiation.

This study evaluates if electronic devices commonly found in most households emit radiation, and if they do, how much?

Explore the craters, maria, and highlands on the surface of the Moon! In this fun science project you'll create a 3-D model of the moon using paper mache.
