Go to any length to test your students' understanding of perimeter calculations. Students will use their understanding of the perimeter of rectangular shapes to create rectangles that have different side measurements but equal perimeters.

Slice those pieces and mix it up! In this lesson that follows “Slice It Up! Part One,” students will begin recognizing different ways to create equal shares in whole shapes, creating a fraction poster by the end of the lesson.

Symmetry is everywhere, but it's often hard to notice. This lesson explores a few ways to identify it. By folding and making mirror images for different shapes, students will discover a new world of symmetrical figures.

Help your students use rulers in the classroom with this lesson! Encourage them to measure items around them using centimeters to understand shapes and sizes.

In this lesson, students will learn the steps in solving a problem, discuss solutions from the story "Mr. Rabbit and the Lovely Present," and use these same problem-solving skills when they build shapes with pattern blocks.

Eye love science! This lesson will help your students understand the parts of the eye that work together to make us visualize the different colors, shapes, and textures of objects around us.

Introduce your preschoolers to circles with this fun lesson. Your students will enjoy identifying circles hidden in everyday objects around the classroom.

How do you build spatial reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills while doing something that is fun? With tangrams! In honor of Chinese New Year, this lesson introduces your students to the Chinese puzzle of tangrams.

Hop to the circles! This lesson helps your students experience circles in a fun and informal way using crafts, songs, and games. Your students will also develop perceptual, fine, and gross motor skills at the same time.

Kids love to count. Help your students gain a greater understanding of what each number represents numerically, and make counting from 0-10 a breeze.

What's in the bag? This fun math lesson involves using defining attributes as clues to draw conclusions. Young learners will have a great time making guesses about different objects and creating their own shape riddles.

Get your students discussing the attributes of polygons by having them categorize statements as always, sometimes, or never true. Use this lesson independently or alongside Characteristics of Polygons.

Yummy fractions! This lesson will introduce fractions to your students and help them identify and make fractions of their own.

Where's the other half? In this lesson, young mathematicians learn the relationship between halves and symmetry through a fun scavenger hunt. Your students will have a blast figuring out what makes a shape symmetrical.

Who wouldn't want to split a birthday cake with their best friend? In this lesson, students will practice dividing circles and rectangles into halves as they develop an understanding of equal shares.

Students will have a blast reproducing colorful patterns in this creativity-filled preschool lesson. Featuring both worksheets and craft activities, it's sure to help kids learn while having fun.

How are quadrilaterals connected? In this lesson, your students will learn about the relationship between quadrilaterals by drawing, defining, and labeling different ones.

In this lesson, students will begin getting ready to write by practicing their prewriting skills. They will work on building fine motor strength, practicing hand-eye coordination, and take part in sensory activities as well!
