Create a "Hand"-Made Winter Wreath

What to Do:

1. Using a pencil, have your child trace his hand on the green construction paper.
2. Cut out the handprint, and use that cut-out to make about twenty more identical handprints. It sounds like a lot, but your child can help trace the handprints on the paper and cut them out too. The handprints don't have to be perfect, though feel free to help your child cut off the rough edges.
3. Glue the palms of the handprints together, overlapping them in a circular fashion so they form a wreath.
4. Have your child dip his finger into some red paint, and dab little holly berries in clusters of three all over the wreath. When the paint dries, use the black marker to outline the berries.
5. Find the center of two feet of ribbon, and staple it at the bottom of the wreath. Tie the ribbon into a bow. Now you’re ready to display your beautiful “hand”-made Christmas wreath!
