Paper Easter Eggs

What You Do:

1. Fold the construction paper lengthwise. Cut it along the fold line and tape the two pieces of paper together, making one long strip of paper.
2. Have your child fold the paper in an accordion style fold, folding the paper back and forth until it ends up as one rectangle.
3. Draw an egg on the top rectangle, making sure the egg touches the left and right side. These sides will be connection points and should not be cut.
4. Cut out the egg shape, leaving the connection points on both the left and right side of the paper.
5. Carefully unfold the paper and watch a string of eggs appear!
6. Discuss different patterns and shapes with your child. Decorate each egg with a different patterns, colors and materials. Try to include stripes, polka dots and zigzags and diagonal lines.

Make as many endless paper eggs as you want, and hang them for everyone to enjoy!
