Create a one-of-a-kind snowflake that will never melt and look gorgeous on your tree! Kids can make tons of these easy snowflakes and decorate them differently to create a tree filled with these ornaments. It makes a great way for kids to practice cutting out shapes and drawing and tracing lines for a symmetrical snowflake!
What You Need:
- Blue foam sheet
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Cup
- Hole punch
- Thin ribbon
- Glitter glue
- White paint
- Small paintbrush
What You Do:
- Have your child draw a perfect circle by tracing a drinking glass onto blue foam, and then cutting it out. This will be the background for the snowflake.
- Next, draw a unique snowflake on the circle with pencil, by drawing an intersection of six lines and decorating them.
- Paint a little white paint onto the snowflake sketches, which will make the glitter look even shinier!
- Now your child can carefully squeeze glitter glue over the pencil lines to create the snowflakes.
- Punch a hole at the top of the ornament and string a ribbon through it to make a loop.
Hang this dazzling ornament somewhere special!
