To help develop independent readers, we need to make sure our students are able to identify books they can read independently. Teaching students to pick "just right" books helps them develop reading fluency by reading books at their level. 

Finding the Right Books

Preschoolers can have a range of book knowledge. With this lesson plan, make sure that everyone is on the same page of how to treat books.

Treat Books Right!

Students will make a book of homographs using pictures as definitions in order to have a visual connection of the multiple meanings one word can have.
