Stained Glass Snowflakes

What You Do:

1. Have your child trace a kitchen plate on the paper for a perfect cirlce. Cut it out.
2. Repeat step one, so you have two circles.
3. Stack the circles on top of each other and fold them into quarters. It should look like a wedge of pie.
4. Now, like a traditional paper snowflake, have your child cut out designs from the centers of the wedge. Make sure not to cut the outer edges, which will be glued together.
5. Cut out a cellophane circle slightly smaller than the snowflakes.
6. Lift one paper snowflake up and place the cellophane circle in the center, and then place the other snowflake on top, sandwiching the cellophane in between.
7. Line up the the snowflakes perfectly so the cellophane shows through the design.
8. Glue the two snowflakes together along the edges.

Your snowflakes are now ready to display!
