Mindfulness 101! Students focus on the present moment using their senses to observe what is happening right now. They are introduced to the idea that mindfulness is about paying attention to the present. 

Mindfulness: The Present Moment

A great way to cultivate awareness, focus and attention in the present is through movement. Mindful movement can also decrease stress and anxiety and increase calm.

Ringing a quiet bell is also a great way to support focus and bring kids into the present moment so they can be aware of what they are experiencing inside.
