If your child loves to stare at the cereal box while enjoying his favorite breakfast food, here’s one more way he can enjoy it long after the box is empty. Repurpose the box into a simple puzzle he can assemble over and over again. No milk required!
What You Need:
- Cereal box (front panel only)
- Permanent, fine-tip marker
- Laminate sheet
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Utility or X-acto knife
What You Do:
- Laminate the front panel of the cereal box by covering it with the laminate sheet.
- Use a ruler and permanent marker to draw puzzle pieces on the backside of the panel. Remember to make two connecting tabs on each individual piece.
- Now cut out the puzzle pieces. Use scissors to cut the straight lines. Carefully cut the curved connecting tabs with either a utility or X-acto knife.
- Once all the pieces are cut out, lay out the puzzle on the table and challenge your child to put the pieces back together.
Make a puzzle for each of his favorite kinds of cereal or his favorite kind of crackers.
