Craft a Grandparent's Day Collage Card

What You Do:

1. Invite your child to collect his favorite pictures of himself and his grandparents to use for the collage.
2. Now he can use scissors to cut out parts of the pictures to create the collage. A collage is a collection of items placed together in an interesting design or pattern.
3. Once he’s created a collection of pictures, he can begin gluing them onto the blank card.
4. Invite your child to think about the arrangement of the images, and if he would like to create a design or a random collection of the images. Once he’s happy with the arrangement, he can secure the pictures with a bit of glue.
5. To finish the card, use markers to decorate the grandparent’s day card. Your child can write a nice greeting or create lots of shapes and designs for a border.
6. Now put the finished card in an envelope and address to grandma and grandpa. Not only did he create something special, he’s also learning about the postal system!
