In this lesson, students will listen to, discuss, and understand two perspectives on a difficult situation. They will flip a coin, with each side representing one side of the story, and role-play the perspectives and reach a resolution.

Circle up! In this lesson, students will use the circle structure to explore how they can grow kindness inside of themselves and in others.

The peace corner is a space where students may practice previously taught calm-down methods, such as deep breathing and mindfulness. Students will draw a picture of themselves in the peace corner and practice in small groups.

What makes an excellent leader? In this lesson, students will discuss leadership and design a video that informs others of what it means to be a positive leader.

In this lesson, students will discuss compassion, hear from a local nonprofit about their compassionate work in the community, and design a compassion sculpture made mostly out of recycled materials.

In this lesson, students will move through stations to practice and reflect on the mindfulness and social emotional learning tools that they have learned throughout the year.

Compliments can build relationships and a positive class climate! In this lesson, students will participate in a compliment circle, give and receive compliments, and draw/write kind notes to others.

It all starts with gratitude. In this lesson, students will reflect on what they are grateful for and create a gratitude card and web of gratitude.

When we practice mindfulness we are better able to regulate our emotions, build compassion, and support greater ease. In this social emotional learning lesson plan, students will practice mindfulness and create a video that teaches others about mindfulness.
