Mindfulness 101! Students focus on the present moment using their senses to observe what is happening right now. They are introduced to the idea that mindfulness is about paying attention to the present.

In this lesson students will complete an activity called "Raise Your Hand If You..." and be able to define the word “assumption.” This lesson supports the practice of compassion for oneself and others.

Practicing mindful consumerism is an important aspect of social and emotional learning. In this lesson, students will learn about consumerism, its impact on society, and tips on how to buy less.

In this lesson, students will hear the story Say Something and make promises to each other to speak up when others are lonely or hurt. They will also have an opportunity to express themselves through acts of service and painting.

Imagine wild animals teaching students to walk mindfully, and camoflauge teaching about stillness. This lesson takes a cue from animal adaptations as students practice walking and pausing mindfully.

In this lesson, students will create a paper chain based on their greatest strengths and attributes. They will also work with peers to share and identify each other's strengths.

Unlike moving quickly, mindful movement is a wonderful way to slow down and bring kind attention to the present moment. In this lesson, students will experience mindful movement and will create a movie on the benefits of mindful movement.

Mindful movement can support calm and can also be fun! In this lesson, students will create their own animal pose to teach the class, then journal and draw a picture of themselves in their mindful movement animal pose.
