Clothespin Snowman

What You Do:

1. Have your child paint the entire outside of the clothespin white.
2. Let it sit to dry.
3. Help her use a black marker to color the tip of the clothespin. This wil be the snowman's hat.
4. Have her use the marker to draw on "coal" eyes and a smile.
5. Let her draw on three vertical buttons.
6. Have her use scissors to cut a small triangle from orange construction paper.
7. Help her glue the nose on the clothespin between the eyes and the mouth.
8. Have her use scissors to cut out a thin strip of red felt.
9. Let her tie on the red felt scarf around one side of the clothespin right underneath the mouth.
10. Keep making more snowmen! Help your child experiment with colors and styles for each new member of her wintery gang.

Now the best part: Let your child start hanging up your family's Christmas cards using her clothespin snowman.
